National Geographic ADVENTURE and Adventures in Travel Expo Present
“Wild Angle Photo Contest”

Milford, CT, January 29, 2007For those who have taken adventurous vacation photographs that turned out good enough to be in a magazine, here’s your chance! National Geographic ADVENTURE magazine will once again hold their “Wild Angle Photo Contest,” providing amateur photographers the chance to win a fabulous Grand Prize 5-day/4-night trip to Mexico as part of the Adventures in Travel Expo, which is coming to the Washington Convention Center, March 3, & 4, 2007.

The contest is co-sponsored by Adventures in Travel Expo – the world’s largest active and adventure travel show – and National Geographic ADVENTURE magazine. The contest has had tremendous success in past years and has secured entries by promising photographers from around the country.

Amateur photographers are invited to submit their best adventure photos to be judged by a panel of award winning ADVENTURE photographers for the chance to win a 5-day/4-night stay for two at Hotel Las Brisas Huatulco and roundtrip airfare to Mexico connecting through Houston, courtesy of Continental Airlines. The photos are initially judged by an elite panel at each of the individual shows – NYC/January 13-14, Chicago/January 27-28, Los Angeles/February 10-11, and Washington, D.C./March 3-4. The winning photos will move on to the finals, with the winner being awarded at the Washington, D.C. show on March 4, 2007. In addition to the Grand Prize, there are 10 runners up, who receive a one-year subscription to National Geographic ADVENTURE magazine.

“This contest has grown each year and we’re constantly amazed by the quality of the photos we review – each with its own spin on adventure and active travel,” says Holly Saunders, Marketing Director at National Geographic ADVENTURE. “We encourage anyone who has a favorite vacation photo that illustrates an experience from a physical, cultural, or even a spiritual perspective to enter. The winning photos are selected based on subject matter, composition; photographic skill, originality and creativity, and you never know who will win!”
